Thank you for keeping the conversations meaningful and engaging. Looking forward to another week of shared experiences and learning.

We added a 10-second address check for ‘same DOB’ matches; fallback: preferred pharmacy, @Jamal.

We prompt ‘last appointment location’ and confirm middle initial; quicker than addresses sometimes, @Jamal — fallback: emergency contact name.

Quick win for identical-name + DOB: we display the chart photo at check-in and ask ‘Is this you?’ — it’s cut our bottlenecks more than address drills, @Jamal. If there’s no photo, we confirm the last four of the phone number on file per two-identifier rules: https://www.jointcommission.org/standards/national-patient-safety-goals/. Only catch: make photo refresh part of pre‑reg or it stops helping.

We’ve cut same-name/DOB errors by verifying the ‘last 4 of the phone on file’ first. The kiosk masks it and asks ‘ending in 4821 — correct?’, and if that’s off we pivot to the patient’s ‘primary care clinic name,’ @roy_j93. It’s a quick PIN without the awkward quiz.
