What’s your quickest, guest-friendly way to approve early check-in when housekeeping is still turning rooms? We’re on Opera with a 2:00 pm check-in; I do a 10:30 status sweep and offer a 1:00 pm guarantee for $25 (waived for Gold and above), but I’m looking for a faster, cleaner workflow that minimizes desk back-and-forth.
I ditched the 10:30 sweep and pre-assign at 9:45, tag the room as ‘Queue Room’ in Opera and mark it Rush so HK bumps it, then set the res to ‘Fixed’ and auto-text a 12:30 ETA with a $25 link (auto-waived for Gold+); it cuts almost all counter ping-pong… Are you on OPERA Mobile for HK so that rush hits their task list right away?
Skip the 10:30 sweep: set a noon rule — if the assigned room flips to Inspected by 12:00, Opera/MSG auto-texts “ready now” and posts the $25; if not, it waives and confirms your 1:00 guarantee with no desk back-and-forth. @carlos_vasquez23 are you auto-posting the fee or doing it manually? Pre-reg with card on file keeps keys queued so arrival is just a handoff.
On Opera, I pre-register early birds at 11:15 with an ECI $25 package (auto-waived for Gold) and a “Ready Alert” trace; when HK flips the room to Inspected, it auto-texts and we just hand keys — no back-and-forth, . If it hasn’t flipped by 12:45 I auto-waive and stick to your 1:00 pm promise — do you have SMS tied to status change, @clarkson_joe21?
