Would you take this job? Why or why not?

I did a similar State Farm role - the range looked great but most of it hinged on hitting monthly auto/home/life quotas; my day was about 60% calls/quotes and 40% front desk. Ask if they pay for your P&C/Life licenses and clarify the base vs. commission split and where leads come from before you say yes.

I interviewed for a State Farm office near Helotes that advertised $80 - 100k, but the base was $17/hr and you only got near the top if you averaged 6-8 life policies a month. Ask for the comp plan in writing, the percent of inbound leads from the existing book, and the exact daily quote target - those three answers will tell you how realistic the range is.
