We use Cornerstone with Weave, and when pet parents confirm via text it doesn’t update the schedule, so I’m still calling to make sure and we had a 7:30 a.m. drop-off arrive after an auto-reschedule. What tool keeps confirmations, cancellations, and time changes in one place so I can spend less time chasing statuses and more time helping nervous kitties at the desk?
We had the same Cornerstone + Weave issue and fixed it by running confirmations through PetDesk with appointment-status writeback enabled, mapped to our Confirmed/Cancelled codes so Cornerstone flips instantly. That also stopped the ‘7:30 a.m. drop-off’ problem once we turned off Weave’s auto-reschedule to avoid conflicts. It’s an extra subscription, but it saved enough calls to be worth it — would you try PetDesk just for confirmations and keep Weave for phone/text?
Quick example: we switched confirmations to AllyDVM with Cornerstone, enabled ‘appointment status writeback’ and mapped to our C/X codes so a reply flips the schedule automatically — much less cat-herding at 7:30; see https://www.allydvm.com. If you’d rather stick with Weave, make sure you’re on Cornerstone 9.5+ and that its newer writeback is turned on, otherwise it won’t update.
We moved texting/confirmations into IDEXX Rapport so Cornerstone updates the visit automatically, and we set time-change replies to kick out a ‘pick a new time’ link instead of reshuffling the book — saved our ‘7:30 a.m. drop-off’ chaos, . If you’ve got to keep Weave for phones, would you be open to leaving calls there but letting Rapport handle replies so you’re not chasing statuses?
We ended up on Demandforce with Cornerstone and had them enable the real-time connector so a quick ‘Y’ flips the appointment status and cancels flow back, and we set time-change replies to send a booking link instead of auto-moving — no more 7 a.m. surprises, . This is what worked for us: The Ultimate Veterinary Appointment Scheduling Guide; if you’re sticking with Weave, can you disable after-hours auto-reschedule and funnel any ‘later’ replies to your scheduler?
